Plate I — The Ghaf Blossom was first gifted as a limited edition commission for Emirati Women's Month. The original recipients include members of UAE royal households, leaders of the country's foremost cultural institutions, artists, tastemakers and women whose work has shaped this region.

The Story Behind The Ghaf Fairy
The Ghaf Fairy began with a flower. While researching the botanical heritage of the UAE, Dumyé founder Sahar Wahbeh kept returning to the same blossom — small, marigold-yellow, blooming twice a year on the UAE's national tree. A flower most people walk past without ever noticing.
To celebrate its quiet beauty and the generosity of the tree it comes from, Dumyé commissioned Emirati botanical artist Haya Alketbi — a graduate of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh — to create an original hand-painted scientific illustration of The Ghaf Blossom. That illustration was gifted to a small circle of women who have shaped both Dumyé and this region.
