"For big and little girls alike, Dumyé dolls, are toys to treasure forever." - Harper's Bazaar Arabia
Needless to say we are so excited Harper's Bazaar Arabia asked us to be a part of their July/August 2013 issue. Not only did they tell our story so beautifully but Dumyé was also named 'Editors Pick'. If you are in the Middle East, be sure to pick up a copy. It is a feast for the eyes.
"When it comes to buying gifts for girls, be prepared to navigate a minefield of plasticky age-inappropriateness. Or, head for new dolls brand Dumyé... Combining creativity, her child and bucket loads of corporate social responsibility, with Dumyé Sahar has created the perfect storm of mumpreneurialism." - Harper's Bazaar Arabia
"But the best part is that for each doll bought, another is donated to a parent-less child. "We will be kicking-off the giving with an orphanage in the Middle East," says Sahar, "It couldn't be timelier, with the thousands of Syrian children who have been left displaced, their lives shattered by their country's violent unrest."
"Each of the dolls has a quirky name with a story behind it. "Seedling was inspired by something John Lennon once said" 'Love is like a precious plant. You've got to keep on watering it. You've got to really look after it and nurture it," explains Sahar. "At Dumyé, we want to leave our children to a world better then the one we were born to and that starts with nurturing love, an idea that Seedling represents."
Harper's Bazaar has shined a bright light on our journey and we are so incredibly grateful. If you too know someone who would appreciate our hand-crafted dolls and our greater purpose, by all means share Dumyé's story with them. To make it easy you can use those cute little social sharing buttons below. Thank you xo
