As the children streamed into the Fendi Kids boutique in Dubai Mall, their eyes widened with excitement. They weren’t sure exactly what they were in for, but the beautiful set-up by Me & Riley made it clear it was going to be something awesome.
Harper’s Bazaar & Lana El Sahely hosted a Dumyé doll making party, celebrating Fendi’s sweet Spring/Summer collection and giving the little ones in their life an opportunity to see how fun giving back can really be.
Dumyé collaborated with Fendi to design 4 custom DIY Doll Making kits for the special event. Inside was a bare Petite Dumyé and a selection of fabrics and accessories inspired by Fendi’s latest children’s collection. The boys and girls had an opportunity to select a kit of their choice, each styled with different colors and textures. The kids and their very patient mothers dove right into the boxes, designing and creating their own Fendi inspired Dumyé doll looks. Sahar Wahbeh and the Dumyé team were on hand to support the children in their design adventure.
Soon after, part of the Dumyé team flew off to Kuwait, hosting another workshop at the Fendi Kids boutique in The Avenues Mall. We were super lucky to have support throughout the Kuwait event, from our local retail partner Work/shop.
All-in-all this collaboration ensured that 200 children had a load of fun designing a doll of their own; the 100 children invited to participate in-store and the 100 being gifted to underprivileged children in our communities. Kinda awesome.
